About:

This class is designed to guide students through the steps of making their own stone carving tools and is a companion class to Bethany Lee's Stone Carving Workshop. In this one-day class, Students will make a basic set of stone carving tools out of tool steel, learning the basic steps of forging, hardening, and tempering so they can repeat the process and make as many tools as they can imagine. The tool-making class is on Saturday, and the Stone Carving class is on Sunday, and they have separate sign-ups. Take either one or both, your choice.

Class includes safe shop practices, fire management, efficient hammer techniques and basic forging. All safety equipment and materials provided.

Please Note: A parent, guardian or responsible adult must be on site for students under 18 years of age for the duration of the class. Adults accompanying minors do not have to take the class, but they are welcome to if they wish.

Class Cost: $135

Price at check out is class tuition plus $15 booking fee.

Transfer, Cancellation, and Refund Policy:

Call to make any changes to your registration. Transfers and cancellations must be made more than 14 days before class in order to receive a refund. There is a $75 fee for any transfer, cancellation, or refund.
