Sculpture - "A Public Sculpture" by Artem Marshak
The idea is to make and art object together with students, as a lesson in making urban public sculptures.
Each of the students will be able to make their own sunray or a bird,
Therefore, each element will be unique and distinctive. In the first lesson, I will demonstrate the tools and techniques of performing in my own style.
On the last day of training we will all put together the details into the sculptures that you see in this project.
In this ways students learn to demonstrate their own style and skills while working as a team for a common goal.
The sculpture will be made in my original "Vologda Art Modern" style it is a mixture of plastic in metal, Art Nouveau and Russian eclecticism.
This style is ideal for working in a team with different levels of masters. Both traditional joints and electric welding will be used for assembly. the estimated heigh is 16 feet. The estimated weight is 400 pounds.
Due to the transparency of the structure, as well as the connecting decorative lines of the base, the sculpture will be stable to gusts of wind and strong shorts. Ideally, if we leave the sculpture without painting, so that it can be covered with noble rust.
All skill levels are welcome!
